Usually an activated XP/VS license is bound to the hardware of each machine.
However, based on manual requests we do allow reasonable reactivation requests.
e.g. if your hardware breaks, or you change your server, etc.
In such a case we will release your license for another activation on a different system.
Licenses tied to your own Thinstuff account:
You will be able to release your licenses by yourself threetimes and you don't have to wait for our support to answer.
Please login into your Thinstuff account and go to "My Licenses".
Next to your license you'll find the link "Reactivate license" where you can release your license for reactivation (three times for free) by choosing "Release the license for reactivation"
If these three times are exceeded you can ask here for license reactivaton
Click "Reactivate license" and specify in the next window the reason from drop down menu
Choose --> "Send reactivation request" to send the request to Thinstuff support.
As soon as the license is relased for reactivation (email information) you can run the activation process.
For Reseller --> Release Customer's licenses
You are able to release your customer's licenses by yourself so you don't have to wait for our support to answer.
Please login into your Thinstuff account and go to "Reseller Control Center".
On the top left you'll find a textbox where you can insert your customer's license id to release it for reactivation (either the number "1234" or the whole license code "12345-ABCDEFGHIJLMNOPQRST"
Click continue to release the license for reactivaton (three times free)Tags: change, hardware, How do i transfer a license?, License, Licensing, move, reactivate, reactivation, reactivaton request, required, reseller control center, transfer, XP/VS Server
If the three times are exceeded choose the reason from drop down menu and click "Send reactivation request"to send the request to Thinstuff support.
You will get an information email as soon as this license is released for reactivation.
